Mixed media monday “Cool it down”

Dit is mijn bijdrage voor MMM. Opdracht deze week is om koele kleuren te gebruiken. De achtergrond is ecoline-zout papier in paars-blauwe tinten. Helaas komen de kleuren op de scan niet zo mooi over. De meisjesstempel heb ik in dezelfde kleuren geaquarelleerd maar daar zie je bijna niets van op de scan.

Here is my entry for MMM. This week it’s all about using cool colours. The background of this card is ecoline-salt paper in purple and blue tones. Colours don’t show on the scan as they are in real. I coloured the girlstamp with watercolour paint in the same colours as the background but you hardly see that on the scan.

The future

Dit vind ik zo’n prachtige tekst, zeker in het lettertype dat Darkroom doors ervoor gekozen heeft.  De bloemstempel is ook van Darkroom door. De achtergrond is gemaakt met alcolholinkt die bestempeld is Stazon en de paisly stempel van Impression Obsessions.

I love this quote, especially in Darkroom door’s styling. The flowerstamp is Darkroom door too. I made the background with alcoholink and stamped the Impression Obsession paisly on it with Stazon.

Dezelfde stempel/same stamp

Ook voor deze kaart heb ik de vogelstempel van Penny Black gebruikt. De achtergrond is gemaakt met alcoholinkt die ik met paarse Stazon en de Plaid stempel van Impression Obsesssion heb bestempeld. Daarna met Versamarck de vogel en de tekst ops de kaart gestempeld en geëmbossed met diep zwart-paars embossingpoeder. Helaas komt dat op de scan niet echt tot zijn recht.

For this card I used the Penny Black birdstamp again. I made the background with alcoholink  that I stamped on with purple Stazon and the Plaid stamp from Impression Obsession. Then I stamped the bird and quote with Versamarck and embossed it with deep black-purple emobossingpowder. This doens’t really show on the scan.

Ecoline en zout/Ecoline and salt

Van 2 kleuren ecoline en zout heb ik dit ecolinepapier gemaakt. Zo mooi van zichzelf met dat zouteffect dat ik het niet al te druk wilde bestempelen. Deze vogelstempel van Penny black blijft een van mijn favorieten. Ik heb hem “ontkleurd” met chloor.

I made this ecolinepaper with 2 colours and salt. So beautiful with the effect of the salt that I didn’t want to stamp too much on it. This Penny black stamp is still one of my favourites. I removed the colour in the stamped part with bleach.

Mixed media monday “Seeing red”

Ik ben ineens helemaal in de ban van dit model kaart (het zwart is achtergrond papier voor de scan, het witte met de uitlopende punt is de kaart). Ik heb er dit weekend al een stuk of zeven gemaakt en kan er geen genoeg van krijgen. Deze heb ik vanochtend gemaakt voor MMM. Voor de achtergrond heb ik distressinkt in de kleuren Fired brick en Spun sugar gebruikt. Het schattige vogelstempeltje is mijn nieuwste Hero arts aanwinst.

All of the sudden I love to make these cards (the black is background for the scan, the white with the black-edged card is the real card). I made about seven this weekend and I just can’t stop. I made this one today for MMM. I used distressinks in the colours Fired brick and Spun sugar for the background. The cute birdstamp is my newest Hero arts stamp.

Nog een keer Ecoline/Ecoline again

Deze kaart is gemaakt met hetzelfde Ecolinepapier waar ik de kaart met de bloemen van gemaakt heb.

Bloemetjes/Flowers

Opeens heb ik zin om wat “eenvoudigere” kaarten te maken. Ik ben aan de slag met Hero arts en tekststempels die ik al heel lang niet meer gebruikt heb. En ik vind het hartstikke leuk om te doen. Met dank aan Godelieve als het om deze kaart gaat voor haar duidelijke uitleg over ecolinepapier en het idee van de bloemen en de knoopjes!

Suddenly I feel like making some more “simple” cards. I’m using Hero arts and quote stamps that I didn’t use for a very long time. And I love it. For this card I have to thank Godelieve for her clear explanation how to make paper with ecoline and for the flower and button idea.
