Silence

Een kaart met een van mijn nieuwe Dina Wakley stempels en een achtergrond die ik al een tijdje geleden gemaakt had. De achtergrond is gemaakt met distressinkt. Op de plaats waar de afbeelding staat heb ik de kleur met wat chloor weggehaald.

Stampotique designer’s challenge “Humorous birthdaycard”

 

Tijd voor een nieuwe Stampotique designer’s challenge vandaag. Deze valt heel toevallig … samen met Vicki’s verjaardag en ook heel toevallig … mocht Vicki het thema kiezen. Happy Birthday Vicki! Vicki heeft ons gevraagd een humoristische “over the top” verjaardagskaart te maken. Dit is de mijne, ik heb er heel wat van mijn Stampotique stempels voor uit de kast gehaald. Dit zijn ze: Picket fence, Tree, Halloween cube 2,  Starbird with chick, Wee owl, Welcome door, Tetewea, Santa Baby, Snowy Fran en Small moon. Deze keer is het een challenge waarbij je alleen Stampotique stempels mag gebruiken. Zoals altijd kun je een tegoedbon winnen waarmee je voor 30 dollar Stampotique stempels mag uitzoeken, dus kom op doe mee aan Vicki’s verjaardagsfeestje. Crazy amigo’s “R”

Voor Crazy amigo’s heeft Anita deze week het thema “de letter R” gekozen. Ik nog maar eens een keer een moo-kaart gemaakt met de R van Rozen.

Simple joys

Misschien wel mijn favoriete distressinkt combinatie Dusty concord en Faded jeans, zo op de craftsheet krijg je dan de mooiste kleuren in je achtergrond vind ik. Meer dan zo’n prachtige stempel van Paperbag studios heeft een kaart als focus dan niet nodig … De kaart waarop ik het geheel geplakt heb krijg ik niet goed gekleurd op de scan, in het echt past ie perfect bij het paars in de achtergrond.

Perhaps my favorite combination of distressinks Dusty concord and Fade jeans, on a craftsheet and you get the most beautiful colours. I doesn’t need more than a gorgeous Paperbag studio stamp as focal image … I glued it to perfectly matching purple cardstock but somehow my scanner messes up that colour complety.

Nog een beetje zomer/a last bit of summer

Laats postte ik al een herfstkaart toen het weer ineens echt herfstachtig werd. Maar nu is het weer bijna zomer dus daarom vandaag dit waxinelicht doosje met een strandtafereeltje. Doet me nu al weer verlangen naar warm weer en lekker op het strand slenteren.. De stempels zijn van Crafty Individuals

A little while ago I posted a autumn card when it felt by the weather as if seasons were changing. But this weekend it’s almost like summer here, so that’s why I post this candlebox with the little beach scene today. It makes me long for warm weather and a stroll on the beach … The stamps are from Crafty Individuals.

Stampotique meets CAS-ual fridays

Stampotique is deze week sponsor voor de CAS-ual Fridays challenge. De opdracht is een eenvoudige kaart te maken met 3 tinten van dezelfde kleur aangevuld met chocolade bruin. Ik heb voor deze kaart Distressinkten in de kleuren Fired brick en Aged Mahogany gebruikt en bruine embossingpoeder. Dat laatste laat de scan niet zo goed zien. Deze stempels heb ik gebruikt: Small butterfly, Floral flutter en Fly word.

Stampotique sponsors the CAS-ual Fridays challenge this week. The challenge is to make a clean & simple card with 3 shades of one colour and add chocolate brown. For my card I used Distressinks in the colours Fired brick and Aged Mahogany and brow embossingpowder. The scan doesn’t show the brown very well. I used these stamps: Small butterfly, Floral flutter en Fly word.

Even silence…

Na heel lang niet in mijn art journal gewerkt te hebben heeft de DVD van Kate Crane me geïnspireerd om weer aan de slag te gaan. Dus ben ik ook weer aangehaakt bij Anne, Audrey en Sija om aan de hand van een thema een art journal pagina te maken. Deze keer was het thema “Clean & simple”. Dan valt het nog niet zo mee om met een grote witte bladzijde voor je neus te beslissen wat je gaat doen om zo’n pagina toch sprekend te maken. Door mijn hoofd speelde “Words that matter” en via die opstap heb ik uiteindelijk deze pagina gemaakt met de Stampotique stempels Tall word collage en Even silence speaks. Ook Anne, Audrey en Sija plaatsen vandaag hun pagina op hun blog dus ga ook daar zeker een kijkje nemen in de loop van de dag!

After a long time of not art journalling Kate Crane’s DVD inspired me to get started again. So I caught up with Anne, Audrey and Sija to make a journalpage around a set theme. This time the theme was “Clean & simple”. It’s not that easy with a big white and empty page in front of you to decide what to do to make a clean & simple yet strong statement. In my head  I played with the idea of “Words that matter” and that’s how I came to making this page with the Stampotique stamps Tall word collage and Even silence speaks. Anne, Audrey and Sija post their pages too today so make sure to visit their blogs!

Crazy amigo’s “Squares”

Ik kan even geen genoeg krijgen van het effect van waterspetters op distressinkt, zeker nu ik papier heb waarop deze techniek zo goed werkt. Dus ook voor mijn bijdrage voor Crazy amigo’s deze week heb ik zo’n achtergrond gemaakt. Voor de rest heb ik mijn kaart heel simpel gehouden. De stempels die ik gebruikt heb zijn van Stampotique:  Tulip en Dogs laugh.

I can’t get enough of the effect of watersplashes on distressink at the moment, especially now that I found paper that works so well with this technique. So I made that kind of background for my Crazy amigo’s entry too. I kept my card very simple. The stamps I used are from Stampotique:  Tulip and Dogs laugh.
