Wednesdaystamper "Blue"

Ben de laatste tijd toch al erg in de blauwtinten dus het thema van wednesdaystamper was geen straf voor mij deze week. Ik heb een boekenlegger gemaakt. De achtergrond is gemaakt met alcoholinkt in blauwtinten met een zilver accent. Ik heb gestempeld met Stazon ultramarine. De stempels zijn van Oxford Impressions. Klik op de foto om te vergroten.

I already was in the “bluefase” lately so this weeks wednesdaystamper theme wasn’t too difficult for me. I made this bookmark. Did the background with alcoholink in blue colours with a silver accent. I stamped with Stazon ultramarine. The stamps are from Oxford Impressions. Click on the picture to enlarge.

TMTA "Metal Art

Deze atc heb ik gemaakt voor TMTA . Het thema deze week is “Metal art”. De bedoeling is dat ergens in je werkstuk iets van metaal zit. Bij deze atc terug te vinden in het “Create” een embellishment van Making memories en het smalle strookje aluminiumfolie achter het kindje. De achtergrond heb ik gemaakt met pastelkrijt en bestempeld met Stazon Azure. Voor de afwerking heb ik blauwe spraymist gebruikt. Op de scan zie je dat bijna niet maar in het echt geeft dat een heel mooi effect.

I made this atc for this weeks “Metal art” theme from TMTA . You had to use metal somewere in your piece of work. I used a metal word “Create” from Making memories and a small piece of foil behind the child. Made the background with pastel crayons and stamped it with Stazon Azure. As a finishing touch I used blue spraymist. You can hardly see that on the scan but in real it gives this atc something special.

Gothic arches "Schooldays"

Weer een leuke wekelijkse uitdaging Gothic arches. En meteen een ontzettend leuk thema “Schooldays”. Ik kon het dan ook niet laten gelijk aan de slag te gaan. Dit is ie geworden. De achtergrond is gemaakt met alcoholinkt en bestempeld met Stazon timber brown. Het plaatje is van Paper Whimsy.

Another great weakly challenge Gothic arches. And a perfect theme “Schooldays”. I had to go for it immediately. This is what I made of it. The background is made with alcoholink and stamped with Stazon timber brown. The image is from Paper Whimsy.

Kodak

Lekker gekliederd met bijenwas. Ik heb deze atc eerste helemaal afgemaakt en toen bijenwas gesmolten in de meltingpot. Daar heb ik de atc in zijn geheel enkele keren ingedoopt en daarna goed laten drogen. Dan gemat op een zwarte ondergrond en daarna de metallic draadjes erom heen gemaakt. Dat was eigenlijk een slim idee van Hermine. Ik had namelijk eerst geprobeerd om met Stazon over de bijenwas te stempelen met de “scratches” stempel van Tim Holtz. Dat was niet zo’n succes. Op de plaats waar de half mislukte stempelstrepen zaten lopen nu de draadjes. Daarom staat ie nu op mijn blog en ligt ie niet in de prullenbak.

I’ve been messing around with beeswax. Finished this atc and then I dipped it several times in beeswax that I melted with my meltingpot. Then I let it dry and glued it to a black background. Finished off with the metallic threads. This finishing touch was Hermines great idea. I tried to stamp the beeswax with Stazon and the Tim Holtz “scratches”stamp. That wasn’t a real succes. Were the half visible stampstripes were are now the threads I added. That’s how it ended up on my blog and not in the dustbin.

TMTA "Music"

Deze atc heb ik gemaakt voor TMTA . Het thema van deze week is “Music”. De achtergrond heb ik bestempeld met Stazon stone grey en gesponsd met distressinkt. Sija heeft me geleerd om transfers te maken met Golden medium gel. Daarna heb nog gestempeld met Stazon jet black.

I made this atc for TMTA . This weeks theme is “Music”. I stamped the background with Stazon Stone grey and sponged it with distressink. Sija taught me how to make transfers with Golden medium gel. After doing the transfer I stampeld with Stazon jet black.

Italiaanse deuren 1/Italian doors 1

Hé, hé terug van even weggeweest. Mijn computer was een paar dagen uit de lucht dus daarom was het zo stil hier.
Ik heb op vakantie een heleboel foto’s van deuren gemaakt. De komende maanden zal ik op mijn blog af en toe zo’n foto zetten die je kunt gebruiken voor je eigen werk. Ik maak zelf steeds een of enkele voorbeelden. Hier de eerste 2 foto’s van dezelfde deur. Laat me via de comments bij dit bericht weten als je mijn foto’s gebruikt hebt en zorg voor een verwijzing naar de internetlocatie waar ze te zien zijn. Onder alle inzenders verloot ik op 9 september a.s. de kaart en de atc die ik als voorbeeld gemaakt heb.

Finally I’m back. My computer broke down so that’s why it was so quiet here.

On our vacation in Italy I made a lot of pictures of doors. Over the next few months I will put these pictures on my blog for you to use in your own artwork. I make some examples with them myself. Here are the first 2 pictures of the same door. Please let me know through te comments for this message when you used this pics and refer to the place on the internet were your work can be found. On the 9th of september I’ll draw 2 names to send the card or atc to that I made.

Tagswap "Just blue"

Als dit geen blauw is weet ik het niet meer… Met Jeanette doe ik elke maand een tagswap. Ik vind het ontzettend leuk om met tags te werken. Om de beurt bepalen we formaat en thema. Deze maand was Jeanette aan de beurt. Haar thema was “Just blue” met een formaat van 2 tags tegen een achtergrond van 14 bij 14 cm. Ik heb Adirondack inkt gebruikt voor de achtergrond en de tags en deze bestempeld met Stazon. Klik op de foto’s om ze te vergroten.

If this isn’t blue I don’t know what is… I’m doing a tagswap with Jeanette. I really enjoy working with tags. In turns each of us gets to pick the theme and size. This month it was Jeanette’s turn. The theme is “Just blue” and I had to make 2 tags to be put in a card size 14 by 14 cm. I used Adirondack for the backgroundcard and the tags and stamped it with Stazon. Click on the pics to enlarge.
