Deze week is het thema bij Crazy amigo’s vogels. Ik heb een notitieblokje gemaakt met deze schattige Heroarts vogeltjes en een paar mooie tapejes. Snel en simpel!

Onder het toeziend oog van pa of ma hebben onze bosuilkuikens het intussen hogerop gezocht. Ze zijn nu al een week of 2-3 uitgevlogen, maar blijven (gelukkig) nog even bij ons in de tuin. Met name ‘s avonds en ‘s nachts horen we ze voortdurend roepen om eten. Maar pa en ma zorgen goed voor ze, vorige week zaterdag zaten ze met zijn allen boven in een boom een konijn te verschalken, jammer genoeg te ver weg om er een foto van te maken.
Under the watchful eye of mum or dad our tawny owl chicks are now climbing trees. They left the nest for 2-3 weeks now, but lucky for us they stay in our garden. In the evening and night we hear them call for food. But they are well cared for, last saturday the whole family gathered on a branch to eat rabbit for breakfast, to far away for us to take pics.

Dit weekend tijdens de Artspecially beurs in Zeist is mijn boekje uitgekomen. Tekststempels, mijn grote passie of gekte, maar net hoe je het wilt noemen, is het centrale thema. Heel blij dat ik van Angela de kans kreeg om dit boekje te maken en supertrots ben ik natuurlijk. Het was een heel bijzonder moment dat ik gisteren na maanden werk (en af en toe eens een creatief blok, een vloek en een flinke zucht) mijn werk op deze manier terug zag! Leuk ook de enthousiaste reacties die ik van sommigen al in Zeist of via mail mocht ontvangen! Het boekje is natuurlijk vanaf nu ook te koop in een aantal stempelwinkels en via de Artspecially website. Leuk nieuws is ook dat het nog in het Engels zal worden uitgegeven.
This weekend during the Artspecially stampingevent in Zeist my little book was released. My big passion quotestamps is the main theme. I am very glad Angela (the editor) made it possible for me to do this and of course I am very very proud. It was a special moment yesterday when I heald it in my hand after months of hard work (and an occasional creactive block, swear or deep sigh). First reactions of people who bought it were very positive. There will be a releas in English and perhaps German too but I don’t know when.

Op weg naar Valentijnsdag is het thema van Crazy Amigo’s deze week “Harten”. Ik heb een kado-envelopje met bijpassende kaart gemaakt. De stempels die ik gebruikt heb zijn van Hero arts en van Penny Black.
With Valentine’s day coming up, this week’s Crazy Amigo’s theme is “Hearts”. I made a gift envelope with matching card. I used Hero arts and Penny Black stamps.

Al weer tijd voor een nieuwe Stampotique designer’s challenge. Deze keer is het thema een “Last minute handmade Christmas ornament”. Superleuk om te doen. Dus doe lekker mee en maak kans om een kadocheque van 30 dollar te winnen waarmee je Stampotique stempels naar je eigen keuze kunt uitkiezen. Ik heb een achtergrond gesponst met Crushed olive en Broken china distressinkt. Daarna heb ik Oh…tree op mijn achtergrond gestempeld en uitknipt. Op een apart stukje papier heb ik de tekst Merry Kiss-mas, Gobby lin en Gog lin gestempeld. De tekst heb ik uitgeknipt in 2 delen en de poppetjes ingekleurd met Tombowstiften en ook uitgeknipt. In de kluit van de boom heb ik met Tombows ook wat kleuraccenten aangebracht en wat accenten met een witte gelpen. De poppetjes en de tekst heb ik met 3d tape op de boom geplakt, gaatje erin, draadje erdoor en klaar!
It’s time for a new Stampotique designer’s challenge. This week’s theme is ”Last minute handmade Christmas ornament”. A real fun theme so join in for fun and for a chance to win a 30 dollar gift certificate for your own free choice of Stampotique stamps. I sponged my background with Crushed olive and Broken china distressinks. Then I stamped Oh…tree on my background and cut it out. On a separate piece of paper I stamped Merry Kiss-mas, Gobby lin and Gog lin. I cut out the words and coloured the images with Tombowmarkers and cut them out too. I drew a couple of lines with the tombows in the foot of the tree too. I finished the tree of with some white gelpen accents and used foamtape to stick the images and words to the tree. Pierced a hole, put through a little white cord and finished is my ornament!
